THE JAGGED EDGES

The Jagged Edges was formed in 1965 with three musically talented engineering students attending Villanova University. After playing many local college fraternity parties for local universities such as University of Pennsylvania, St. Joes, and Temple, the group received its first “big break” opening for The Beach Boys and The Mamas and Papas concert at the Philadelphia Convention Center in the Spring of 1966.

During the 1970s, band members changed as new players created the backing tracks for many workout artists whom, at that time, were on book-and-record sets and later book-and-audio cassettes. Later, in the 1980s well into the 1990s, The Jagged Edges were hired by Parade Video to play backing tracks for Jazzercise and such famous fitness instructors as Denise Austin, Joanie Greggains, and the Guru of Exercise himself, Jack Lalanne!

Today, The Jagged Edges feature many talented studio musicians who continue to transform themselves as workout-and-music trends continue to evolve.
